About

Creative reconstruction through story, systems, and image.

My work brings together production experience, visual experimentation, writing, technical study, and personal transformation.

Who I Am

I’m Douglass Brown, a multidisciplinary creative working across film, photography, sound, writing, and emerging media. My background began in visual production and expanded into leadership, web design, computer science, cybersecurity, UX, audio, and interactive systems.

I’m interested in the places where image, story, technology, and lived experience meet. I see media as more than content. It can be a record, a tool, a system, a ritual, and a way to make meaning.

Current Direction

I’m building toward creative technology, narrative systems, and media work that blends craft with technical experimentation.

Film, essays, podcast concepts, and narrative analysis.

Image

Photography, cinematography, aerial visuals, and visual mood.

Systems

Robotics, code experiments, UX concepts, and technical workflows.

About This Site

This portfolio isn't built on a template — and the way it's built is part of the work.

Every layout decision, the strict security policy, and the accessibility choices here are deliberate. A 12-column CSS grid drives the work gallery, the full palette and type scale live in design tokens, headings scale fluidly with the viewport, and the site ships a strict Content-Security-Policy with no third-party trackers — plus accessibility-first markup with skip links, semantic landmarks, and full keyboard navigation. It's the web-design side of my Evergreen work, and the clearest single example of how I approach building anything: design it with intent, secure it, and make it usable for everyone.
